Trains from Mumbai to Gujarat's Mahuva, Veraval flagged off

Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu launched train services from Mumbai's Bandra to Mahuva and Veraval in Gujarat today, acceding to the growing demand of Somnath pilgrims and farmers of the Suarashtra region.

Veraval-Bandra Superfast Express and Mahuva-Bandra Superfast Express were flagged off by Prabhu, along with senior officials, from here through video-conferencing.

Speaking on the occasion, Prabhu said, "There were demands from the people of Saurashtra for these trains. Groundnut and cotton farmers of the Saurashtra region will particularly benefit from these services. Those visiting the Somnath temple will be benefited by Veraval-Bandra train."

Veraval-Bandra Superfast Express will stop at Junagarh, Jetalsar, Rajkot, Wankaner, Surendranagar, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi and Borivali stations.
 

Mahuva-Bandra Superfast Express will stop at Rajula, Savarkundla, Dhasa, Dhola, Botad, Surendranagar Gate, Viramgam, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi and Borivali stations.
