Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda's mother passed away today due to old-age related ailments.

Hardeyi Devi was 97 years old.

Devi was wife of renowned freedom fighter Ranbir Singh Hooda and grandmother of Member of Parliament from Rohtak Deepender Singh Hooda.

The cremation will take place tomorrow at Rohtak.

Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Kiran Choudhry, Leader of the Haryana Congress Legislature Party (CLP) mourned the demise of Hardeyi.
