Hot and dry weather prevailed in the national capital with mercury settling a notch above normal at 38.6 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature, however, settled two notches below season's average at 21 degree Celsius, according to MeT department officials.
Humidity in air oscillated between 69 and 15 per cent.

"Skies will mainly be clear. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 38 and 21 degrees respectively," a department official said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 39.6 degrees Celsius - two notches above season's average. The minimum temperature had settled at 25.4 degree Celsius, two notches above the average temperature for the on-going period.
On Sunday, the day temperature was recorded at 40.6 degrees Celsius, which was four notches above normal for this season.
