Humid hot day in Delhi

It was hot and sultry weather in the national capital today with the day temperature almost touching 35 degree Celsius while the humidity levels soaring as high as 90 per cent.

According to the MeT department, as the city received no rains in the last 36 hours till 5:30 PM today, mercury settled a notch above normal at 34.7 degree Celsius which was significantly higher than yesterday's 32.2 degrees.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 25.7 deg C which was normal for this part of the year. However, this too was almost two points above normal from the previous day's minimum temperature of 23.6 degrees.
 

As rains subside here after a wet patch during the last couple of days, humidity levels remained on the higher side oscillating between 57 and 90 per cent, said a MeT official.

"There will be generally cloudy sky tomorrow. Very light rain or thundershowers may occur in some parts of the national capital. Maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to settle around 33 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively," he added.
