ILBS to introduce mobile clinics for treatment at doorstep

The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) will soon introduce mobile clinics to provide initial treatment to patients at their doorsteps in various parts of the city.

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said the government was keen to upgrade ILBS and would provide all possible help.

She instructed the Institute to devise a scientific schedule for deployment of these mobile clinics in order to make them accessible to patients in different parts of the city.

Dikshit also expressed confidence that with the introduction of mobile clinics, liver patients will get preliminary check-ups.

"With commissioning of the second phase of the Institute this year, the health care and surgical process would become more advanced," Dikshit said during a high level meeting of ILBS chaired by her.
 

Delhi Health Minister A K Walia, Advisor (Innovation and Reforms), Government of Delhi P K Tripathi, Principal Secretary (Health) S C L Das and Director of ILBS Dr S K Sarin were also present in the meeting.

Director, ILBS presented a cheque of Rs 3.82 lakh as contribution of their employees to Chief Minister's Relief Fund for relief and rehabilitation measures in flood-hit Uttarakhand.
