India-China Cooperation Forum meet held in Shanghai

Over 100 students and entrepreneurs from Indian and Chinese businesses today took part in the 5th edition of the India-China Cooperation Forum in Shanghai to boost bilateral trade and increase investments in crucial sectors.

Prof Ding Yuan, Vice President and Dean spoke about growing economic engagement between India and China, two of Asia's three biggest economies, at the event organised by Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and Consulate General of India.

Consul General Prakash Gupta talked about the investment climate available to Chinese investors in India and urged them to take advantage of the opportunities available in the Infrastructure, Urban Transportation and Renewable Energy sectors, a press release from the Consulate said.
 

Separate presentations on the state of Indian economy, technology, start-ups and brand building in India were made during the meeting.

Leading Chinese CEOs shared their business experiences of operating in India.

These included presentations from Shen Jianfang, Chairman of Highly Group and Chairman of Shanghai Desano Group.

CEO TCS-China Sujit Chatterjee also narrated his experiences of operating in China, it said.

The 5th India-China Cooperation Forum was also dedicated to commemorate the "International Day of Non-violence - Birthday of Mahatama Gandhi," the press release said.
