Team Asia, comprising Indias Diya Chitale, dominated the scene by winning gold in the team event of the World Cadet Challenge in Suva, Fiji.

In a muggy evening and under trying weather conditions at the Vodafone Arena, Team Asia showed for a second year running that their supremacy was intact in the Cadets category.

Cheering from the bench, Chitale, may have rued missing the chance of playing but in the end it was a sweet memory for the Mumbai girl when she walked up to the podium to get the gold medal as a representative of Asia which outplayed North America 3-0.

It must have been a proud moment for Diya, a promising youngster, to represent Asia in World Cadet Challenge and be a part of the gold-winning squad in the Fiji Islands.
