A police inspector was today suspended for allegedly passing objectionable comments at two lady cops while on duty.

Satinder Kumar, inspector in charge of PCR, was suspended after two lady police constables lodged a written complaint against him saying that he had passed objectionable comments at them, police said.

As many as 12 lady police constables were deputed on a special duty at Ajnala town in Amritsar district last month where police inspectors, including Kumar, were also present.

Kumar allegedly passed objectionable remarks at two of the lady police constables and also threatened to mark them absent if they told about the incident to anyone, police said.

An inquiry into the complaint found Kumar to be guilty following which he was suspended from the duty, police said.
