The Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh Police today claimed to have busted an inter- state gang involved in smuggling of narcotics and seized contraband worth Rs 20 lakh.
In an official statement issued here today, the STF said that "an inter-state gang involved in narcotic smuggling in Odisha was busted in Bhadohi district (of UP), and two of its members arrested."
The STF said that it has recovered four qunitals of 'ganja' worth Rs 20 lakh. The arrested persons are Gurpreet Singh and Jora Singh, both hailing from Punjab, it said.
A case under various sections of the IPC and NDPS Act has been registered against the arrested persons, the STF said.
