: A civil court here today granted an interim injunction against the year long practice of proxy voting pattern in the coming elections to the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce.
The Elections are scheduled to be held on July 26.
The fourth Assistant city civil court granted it on an Interim Application in the original suit by one Sunder V Srinivasan, son of director Muktha V Srinivasan, who is contesting to the post of Secretary.

Sunder Srinivasan's rival is one Katragadda Prasad.
The chamber, formed by veterans of the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada film industry, was registered in 1935
All major studios, film production companies, distributors and theater owners are members of the Chambers.
Veterans like B Nagi Reddy of Vijaya Vahuni Studios, producers like D V S Raju, and directors like K Balachander, Muktha Srinivasan, T R Sundaram and A L Srinivasan were Presidents of the Chamber.
It is a Trade Body recognized by the National and International Film Industry.
