Israeli fire kills Palestinian in Gaza Strip: Palestinians

A Palestinian was killed by Israeli fire in the Gaza Strip today, the Hamas-run health ministry said, naming him as Fadi al-Najjar, 25.

An Israeli army spokeswoman told AFP that troops on Israel's side of the frontier fired warning shots into the air as Palestinians hurled rocks and rolled blazing tyres at the border fence but she had no knowledge of casualties.
