Two Jammu and Kashmir ministers today meet Governor N N Vohra to discuss issues related to their ministries.
Minister for Forests Mian Altaf Ahmad and Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir met the Governor at Raj Bhavan here and discussed issues concerning their ministries.
Ahmad discussed issues relating the preservation of the environment, enlargement of the total forest area and its re-densification, a spokesman from the Raj Bhavan said.
The discussion also included matters like repair and maintenance of the Srinagar-Sonamarg Road and clearances of forests for the Zojila Tunnel project, he said.
Mir briefed the Governor about the fresh and dry fruit production this season and also talked about the measures implemented to increase the Seed Replacement Rate for potato, maize, wheat and rice crops and about steps taken to ensure timely delivery of required fertilisers to farmers, the spokesman said.
