Reviewing works of Home, Jail and Disaster Management and Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation Limited, Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma today said children of five years age and above of imprisoned or convicted people must be enrolled and sent to school.
Profiling of children passing their time in jail with their imprisoned mother should also be done and they should be sent to residential or other schools, an official release said quoting the top government official.
Verma directed that video conferencing of all Maoists and criminals should be done while they are brought for trial.

Before complete digitalisation of courts, criminals should be tried through video conferencing, she said and directed to install video conference facilities in all 24 jails of the state.
The chief secretary said all payments of home guard personnel should be done through DBT, the release said.
She directed to speed up police line construction in Dumka, Palamau, Chaibasa and Saraikela Kharsawan.
Officials of the department said out of 18,000 home guards, Aadhar numbers of 17,563 have been collected and seeding work completed.
All home guard personnel are being insured under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Beema Yojana, they added.
