Jaipur Collector Krishna Kunal has decided to give up subsidy on LPG connection and purchase the cylinders at market price.
The move would enable eligible and poor people get LPG cylinders at subsidised rates.
"The collector has decided to not receive cash subsidy under the government of India's PAHAL scheme," an official statement said here.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has already given up the subsidy on LPG cylinders and also urged capable people on Republic Day to consider the same for the benefit of the poor.
