An Army jawan allegedly committed suicide here by shooting himself, Army officials said today.
Gunner (Operator), S N Vasant deployed in Akhnoor border belt shot himself with his service rifle yesterday and died.
He was resident of Ratnagiri belt of Maharastra and was unmarried, officials said adding that a court inquiry has been ordered.
Police has registered a case and started investigation into it, they said.
