Ishank Jaggi cracked an unbeaten double century to foil Tripura's attempt to walk away with an outright win but the visitors still claimed three points from their Ranji Trophy Group C cricket match owing to a first innings lead in a drawn game, here today.
The 25-year-old hit an unconquered 201 which was laced with 22 boundaries and three sixes. He was ably supported by Kushal Singh, who came up with an innings of 71 as the duo helped Jharkhand post 409-8 declared in their second innings.
For Tripura, Manisankar Murasingh (4/107) returned with a four-wicket haul and Abhijit Sarkar took two wickets, while Viki Saha (1/92) and Abhijit Dey (1/44) also chipped in with one wicket each.

Tripura then finished the match at a score of 12 for no loss in 3 overs at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.
It was a good batting display by Jharkhand, who were dismissed for a paltry 142 in their first innings and were struggling in the second innings when they were reduced to 127-5 yesterday.
Resuming at an individual score of 32, No. 5 batsman Jaggi shared 146 runs with Kushal, stitched 66 with No. 9 Shahbaz Nadeem (30) and forged an unbeaten 53 stand with No. 10 Samar Quadri (1 not out) before declaring the innings.
