A Junior Engineer (JE) working under the Mizoram Power and Electricity department was found dead inside his jeep near Sailam village on the road between Aizawl and south Mizoram's Lunglei town today.
T. Lalthanzama, working at Lunglei, was travelling alone in his new jeep from Aizawl to Lunglei on Wednesday night but did not arrive in Lunglei the next day and was declared as missing, a police official said.
The jeep and his body was found in an orchard near Sailam where he apparently met with an accident by running off the road, the official said.
The jeep was impounded and the body sent for autopsy.
