Shiv Sena corporator's husband booked for bid to steal goats

A ruling Shiv Sena corporator's husband and two others from the city were booked today by the police for allegedly making an attempt to steal goats, police sources said here today.

The police said in its official release issued here that the three accused entered a slum colony this morning and made an attempt to steal goats in the house.

A complaint to this effect has been lodged by the lady in the house who was asleep in the house along with one of her relatives.

The police said that the accused Vijay Patil, happens to be the husband of Shiv Sena Corporator Sharada Patil of the Balkum area.
 

In her complaint, lodged at the Kapurbawdi police station, the complainant alleged that the three accused entered the house through the window and made an unsuccessful attempt to steal the goats.

The three accused have been booked under Section 457, Section 380 and Section 511 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, the police said, adding that so far, no arrests have been made in connection with the offence.
