Karvy Computershare has launched InstaPoll, the country's first tablet-based voting system targeted primarily at corporates, to enable shareholders to use tablets as ballot boxes during shareholder meetings and ensure speedy publication of voting results.
Karvy Group Chairman C Parthasarathy said, "InstaPoll is an example of a service that will have direct impact on our clients and their shareholders. We have launched to promote the green initiatives being pushed by the government".
The application also promises scalability to cope with any vote requirement while also providing increased security and accuracy, due to secure, online tabulation and encryption.
