Ker Governor, staff pledge one-day's salary to J&K relief fund

: Kerala Governor Justice P Sathasivam and staff of Raj Bhavan today decided to contribute their one-day's salary for relief work in flood-hit Jammu and Kashmir.

"The Governor and the staff of Kerala Raj Bhavan will contribute their one-day's salary amounting to Rs 1,05,000 towards the relief activities for the people of Jammu and Kashmir who are put to distress and miseries in an unprecedented deluge," a release said here today.

The amount would be sent to the state government for onward delivery to the authorities of Jammu and Kashmir government, it added.
