The pilot phase of the Digital Literacy programme aimed at making Kerala a 'total digital literacy state' was inaugurated by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here today.
In the first phase, the project will be implemented in Thiruvananthapuram district, an official release said here.
A total of 10 student police cadets selected from 10 schools will be given tablets with internet facility and expert training. They will in turn train persons in their locality on e-governance and internet security.

The pilot project is expected to be completed by December. Those who successfully complete the training would be given certificates, it said.
