Press Trust of India New Delhi
Kishmish prices rose by Rs 200 per 40 kg in the national capital today largely on the back of increased buying by retailers and stockists amid festive season demand.

Besides, firming trend at overseas markets influenced select dry fruit prices.

Kishmish Indian yellow and green prices rose by Rs 200 each to conclude at Rs 4,700-6,600 and Rs 10,200-16,600 per 40 kg, respectively.

Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists to meet festive season demand against tight supplies mainly pushed up kishmish prices on the wholesale dry fruit market here.

Following are today's quotations (per 40 kg):

Almond (California) Rs 19,500, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 7,800-8,200; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,600-4,800; Abjosh Afghani Rs 18,000-23,000.

Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 695-710 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 600-650 per kg.
