Leopard found dead in Usmanpur

A leopard was found dead today under mysterious circumstances in northeast Delhi's Usmanpur area.

According to police, the animal weighed around 80-kg and was four-and-a-half feet long. The carcass was found in the evening in the forest area near Usmanpur.

"We informed the forest department soon after finding the carcass. The body has been sent for a post-mortem.

"The cause of death will be clear only after the autopsy," a police official said, adding that no injury marks were found on the carcass.
