Lightning strike kills man during football match

A 20-year-old man died in lightning strike during a football match at Loyola Round under Bistupur police station here today, police said.

Rajat Barla was playing a match when thunderbolt accompanied by rain lashed the city.

Barla sustained grievous injuries after he was struck by lightning.

He was taken to hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, police said.

The body was sent for post-mortem.
