West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today exhorted the younger generation to set up industrial or business enterprises in the state while lauding a TV reality show hosted by cricket icon Sourav Ganguly.

Banerjee highly appreciated the hosts of the programme 'Egiye Bangla', which went on air yesterday.

It is hosted by Bengal's sporting icon Sourav Ganguly and actor Jisshu Sengupta who motivated younger generation to set up enterprises in Bengal.

"This innovative programme was launched by my government (which) partnered with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park," Banerjee said in her Facebook post.

Appreciating the programme, Banerjee also said, "to encourage younger generation to come forward and set up enterprises in Bengal, the first episode of 'Egiye Bangla' was a huge success."

"We are getting novel business ideas from the participants and we will provide support to the entrepreneurs to translate the ideas to sustainable businesses," Banerjee said.

Banerjee even called upon people to watch the upcoming episodes of the programme.
