A man, who had returned home after 26 years from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) recently, was arrested during vehicle checking in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

Mohammad Shafi Bhat, a resident of Hushroo village, went to PoK for arms training in 1990 and had recently returned home via Nepal, a police officer said.

Bhat was on way to his home when he was intercepted by police near Chadoora, 16 km from here, during vehicle checking and was taken into custody for questioning and arrested for illegally crossing over to PoK, the officer said.
