A fifty-five years old man was allegedly beaten up mercilessly and his teeth were pulled out about two weeks ago in Chakaligedda area near Marripalem here, because he was suspected to be practising 'black magic'.
B Ganga Raju, the victim, lodged the complaint today, police said.
Locals attributed three recent deaths in the area to his 'black magic' and assaulted him, they added. Further, he was taken to a hospital and the dentist present there was forced to pull out his teeth.
