Man booked for raping minor step daughter

A case has been registered here against a man for allegedly raping his 17-year-old step daughter, police said today.

Accused Jaswinder Singh was booked yesterday on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim's mother, who is suffering from paralysis, they said.

The mother has alleged that Jaswinder had been sexually exploiting the victim. Not able to bear it any further, the victim told her mother about Jaswinder's crime, police said.

The victim's mother got married to Jaswinder after the death of her first husband three years ago.

Police said the accused has not been arrested so far.
