A 32-year-old man committed suicide by jumping from the UP Stock Exchange building here after his wife allegedly refused to return from her parents' house, police said today.
Shyam Sundar, who worked at a private security agency, climbed atop the building, which is situated in the crowded Civil Lines area, and jumped to his death before anyone could stop him, a police official said.
Witnesses informed the police, following which a team reached the spot and sent his body for post-mortem, he added.
Sundar is survived by two children.
According to his family, Sundar was upset that his wife had refused to return from her parents' house following a discord between them.
