A 35-year-old man sleeping near a community hall in Sector 49 here was killed when a car driver allegedly ran the vehicle over him, police said today.
The mishap took place near Baraula marriage hall last night.
The accused had come to the community centre to attend a wedding. While reversing his car, he allegedly ran over Mahram Ali, who was sleeping by the centre, police said.
Ali was taken to the district hospital, where he was declared dead.
Police said on getting a written complaint from Ali's relatives, an FIR will be registered and accused arrested.
