Man held with heroin

One person was arrested with ten

grams of heroin by the Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department, its spokesman Peter Zohmingthanga said today.

Hrangtawna (39) was arrested for carrying the contraband, smuggled from Myanmar, last night and remanded to judicial custody, he said.

In another incident the Anti Narcotic Squad seized 2.3 lakh tablets of Pseudo-ephedrine at Khatla locality in Aizawl on Sunday and arrested Lalthuama (47), he said.

The seized drug, worth Rs 9.2 lakh, was planned to be smuggled to Myanmar, he said.
