Man stabbed for resisting robbery

A man was stabbed here after he resisted a robbery attempt by unidentified miscreants, the police said today.

The incident took place near a power sub-station last night.

Md Afzal, an employee at a sweet shop in Sector 18, was attacked by three men when he was returning home from work, they said, adding that he is being treated for stab wounds at a hospital here.

The police said that the accused stole his wallet and cell phone.

In another incident, two men on a motorcycle snatched a gold chain from Satya Prakash last night when he was returning after visiting a relative at a hospital here.
