A married woman has gone missing from the house of her in-laws, leading to which her mother has registered a case of abduction while alleging that her daughter was being harassed for dowry since her marriage, police said.

According to the FIR registered at Kotwali police station, Kamlesh, the mother of Chandrakanti, alleged that her daughter was being harassed by in-laws for dowry and she had left their home to live with due to the torture.

About some days ago, Chandrakanti's husband Durvesh came to Kamlesh house to sort out the matter, according to the complaint.

Chandrakanti left with her husband after the settlement.

However, Chandrakanti went missing after a few days later and Kamlesh approached police to register an abduction case.

A case has been registered and a probe was on, police said.
