Max temperatures hover close to normal in Punjab, Haryana

Hisar and Karnal recorded maximums of 37.5 degrees Celsius and 34.4 degrees Celsius, respectively. Narnaul's maximum settled at 34.9 degrees Celsius, one degree below the normal.

In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 35.7 degrees Celsius, one degree above the normal while and Patiala recorded their maximums at 35.8 degrees Celsius and 35.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The department has predicted rain or thunder showers at isolated places in and in the next 24 hours.
