In the absence of showers, maximum temperatures continued to hover above normal level across Punjab and Haryana.
Union Territory of Chandigarh had a high of 34.5 deg C, two degrees above normal, MeT department report said.
Hisar in Haryana recorded the highest maximum in the region at 37.6 deg C, two notches above normal while Ambala and Bhiwani had maximum of 34.2 deg C and 35.6 deg C respectively.

The weather department predicted dry weather conditions in both the states for next 24 hours.
