Maximum temperature hovers close to normal in Hry and Pb

The maximum temperature at most places in Haryana and Punjab including Chandigarh today hovered close to normal limits.

Union Territory of Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 34.5 degrees Celsius, as per the MeT department's report.

Hisar in Haryana registered a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celcius, down three notches against normal after light rains, while Ambala recorded a maximum of 35 degrees Celsius.

Karnal recorded a high of 33 degrees Celcius.

In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 33.1 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal limits.

Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures at 34.1 degrees Celsius and 35.8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
 

The MeT department has predicted rain and thunder showers at many places in Punjab and Haryana over the next two days.
