Maximum temperatures hover close to normal in Pb & Hry

Maximum temperatures today hovered close to normal limits at most places in Punjab and Haryana.

Hisar recorded a high of 40 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, the Met Department said.

Ambala registered a high of 38.1 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal.

Chandigarh, which received drizzle during the day, recorded a maximum temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius.

In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 35.3 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal.

Ludhiana and Patiala recorded identical maximum temperatures of 38 degrees Celsius.

Few places in the two states received drizzle during the day, the MeT department said.
