Mayawati revamps Punjab unit of BSP

Jandali succeeds Rajya Sabha MP Avtar Singh Karimpuri.

Karimpuri has been given the charge of coordinator for Himachal Pradesh relieving Narinder Kashyap, a party spokesman said here.

The decision to revamp the party is said to be in keeping with the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in 2014, party sources said here.

A close aide of Karimpuri, Jandali hails from Jandali village in Ludhiana district.
