Medium sugar declines on lower demand

Medium sugar prices declined at the Vashi Wholesale market here today on lower demand from stockist and traders amid ample supplies.

Small sugar prices witnessed a mixed pattern of trading amidst bouts of buying and selling.

Medium sugar (M-30) fell by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,192/3,401 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 3,202/3,401.

Small sugar (S-30) was quoted at Rs 3,116/3,191.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,116/3,191 (Rs 3,106/3,221).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,192/3,401 (Rs 3,202/3,401).
