Medium sugar declined further at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to weak demand from stockists and retailers amid ample stock position.
While small sugar ruled stable in the absence of any large-scale buying, medium sugar (M-30) slid Rs 6/12 per quintal to Rs 3,170/3,310 from last Wednesday's closing level of Rs 3,176/3,322.
Small sugar (S-30) closed unchanged at 3,106/3,202 per quintal.
