Medium sugar rebounds on renewed demand

Medium sugar prices recovered at the Vashi wholesale market today due to renewed demand from stockists and retailers amidst good upcountry offtake.

While, small sugar ended mixed on alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Medium sugar (M-30) fell by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,200/3,392 from Monday's closing level of Rs 3,200/3,382.

Small sugar (S-30) was quoted at Rs 3,100/3,192 per quintal as against Rs 3,102/3,186.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,100/3,192 (Rs 3,102/3,186.

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,200/3,392 (Rs 3,200/3,382).
