Medium sugar prices recovered at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today due to sustained demand from stockist and bulk consumers.
Small sugar prices witnessed a mixed pattern of trading amidst bouts of buying and selling.
Medium sugar (M-30) gained by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,192/3,331 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 3,172/3,321.
Small sugar (M-30) was quoted at 3,076/3,121.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,076/3,121 (Rs 3,075/3,141).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,192/3,331 (Rs 3,172/3,321).
