The pathetic condition of a mentally challenged person lying on the ground using a tractor wheel as pillow in Erwadi town in the district has again drawn attention of how such people are being neglected and left behind by relatives.
Though the Government is implementing the "Dava duva" scheme to treat such patients using a combination of treatment by psychiatrist and faith in God (Prayers),this man, aged about 40, seems to have not been benefited.
The arm of the semi-nude man is highly infected, and is stinking.
