Menthol prices recovered by Rs 5 per kg at the wholesale chemical market in the national capital today on revival of buying by stockists following fresh demand from consuming industries.
However, other chemical continued to trade in a tight range in scattered deals and settled at last levels.
Traders said fresh enquiries from consuming against restricted supplies from producing regions led to recovery in menthol prices.
Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices were up by Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 1,060, Rs 1,050 and Rs 1,080 per kg, respectively.
