It was a hot and sunny day in the national capital today with the maximum temperature settling a notch above the season's average at 37.1 degrees Celsius.
Today's maximum was 2.2 degrees more than yesterday.
The minimum temperature was recorded a notch below normal at 23.7 degrees Celsius, said MeT department officials.

The weatherman has predicted partly cloudy skies with possibility of thunderstorms and dust storms.
"The skies will be partly cloudy. Dust storms or thunderstorms could occur in some parts. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 37 and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively," a MeT department official said.
Yesterday, the maximum and minimum were recorded at 35 and 22.8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
