Unidentified miscreants entered the premises of a school at Asansol in Burdwan district and damaged around six buses and ransacked the principal's office, police said today.
The miscreants scaled the boundary walls of the DPS Salanpur in Asansol last night and damaged six buses parked in the school premises. They also entered the school building and ransacked the principal's room and the school office, they said.
ACP (West) of the Durgapur-Asansol Police Commissionerate Abhishek Ray said the Salanpur police station has received a complaint from the school authorities today about miscreants damaging school buses and ransacking the principal's room and school office.

Ray said the police was investigating the matter and has asked the school authorities to install CCTV cameras and deploy more private security guards.
In a similar case, another school, The St Capitaneo Higher Secondary School for Girls at Nagrakata in Jalpaiguri district had lodged a complaint with the police on March 22 about anonymous threat letters received by the school, after which security for the school was beefed up by the police.
