A missing woman was today found dead with her body parts severed in the forest area under Sindewahi range here, forest officials said.
Gaurabai Ramaji Chaudhary, a resident of Pavana Chak village, went missing 10 days ago. The search for her proved futile and a complaint was lodged with police and forest officials, a release issued by the forest department said.
Officials found her head and a part of her leg in the forest. Prima facie, she might have been killed by some wild animal or a carnivore, it said.
The case has been handed over to Sindewahi police for probe, the release stated.
