Mob sets car on fire after youth dies in road accident in UP

Enraged over the death of a youth in a road accident, a mob here set on fire the car which had collided with the deceased's motorcycle, police said today.

Manish Chauhan was killed and another youth injured when their bike collided head-on with a car in Rohania bypass area, they said.

"The mob set that car on fire and also indulged in stone pelting," said Senior Superintendent of Police Nitin Tiwari.

"Huge police force was rushed to the spot and after using a mild force, the situation was brought under control," the SSP said.

"A heavy police force has been deployed in and around the accident spot to prevent any untoward situation," he added.
