Chairman of Punjab Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Rajesh Bahga today met the Dalit woman, who was injured after being pushed out of a moving bus in the district.
He announced an ex-gratia of Rs five lakh for the family and Rs 1.20 lakh for the treatment of the injured woman.
Bahga enquired about the treatment being given to the injured woman in the hospital and also directed the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Moga to provide security to the family if required.
The woman got injured and her teenage daughter died after they were allegedly molested and thrown off a moving bus near here.
The conductor and cleaner of the bus, reportedly belonging to a company owned by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal's family, were arrested yesterday.
