Monsoon weakens over Rajasthan, Nohar records 7 cm rainfall

Monsoon has weakened over Rajasthan in last two days though scattered rains occurred at some places in the state with Nohar recording 7 cm of rainfall since last night.
Light to moderate rains occurred at a few places in Alwar, Srigangangar, Jaipur, Bikaner, Hanumangarh and Kota districts and rainfall, a Met office report said.
Alwar recorded 4 cms of rainfall followed by Ramganjmandi, Churu, Rujgarh 3 cm each, Taranagar, Suratgarh, Rajgarh, Thanagaji, Kotputali, Viratnagar, Malissar 2 cms each, and one cm at a number of places in the state.

Due to dry weather conditions mercury again started upward trend in western Rajasthan as Ganganangar recorded the maximum temperature of 36.8 degree Celsius followed by Jaisalmer 36.6, Barmer 36, and Jaipur 34.7 degree Celsius.
Scattered rains may occur at some places in the state in next 24 hours.
